people ... DRAWING AND TALKING! @_@
Heh, I'm not sure I improved by pretty much not walling anymore :| your copic
marker skills are so good that it's scary... So how've you've been? Going the
mangaka career path now, eh?
bwahahahahhaha
XD I missed you guys, I've been really busy D I hope
to make something good as a comic artist...sometimes I make a wall to, but only
with pics of mine
copic markers are not so difficult, u've just to be fast
Quote by MuZ0NaZYou nailed the atmosphere
and the light down, but the fine details just aren't there - the sky is
especially rough, too. It just isn't refined enough and as they say, the devil
is in the details.
Perhaps not everyone likes refinement?
You're right, though, there are many fine details that could be added... but
y'know when you're too tired to look at stuff anymore, your eyes are burning,
and your hand is about to fall off from hours of trying to paint on a laptop...
I'm just complaining, though, and whining is no excuse. Nonetheless, I was focusing on atmosphere and lighting much
more than detail. (and usually do, but to each their own. )
Quote by MuZ0NaZA PTerry fan! I thought
noone will notice the reference There's no such thing as too much Pratchett, I have read all
of books from the main Discworld storyline (i.e. haven't read any books with
Tiffany Aching) and it's nowhere near enough
Lol Guilty as charged. Actually I read every Discworld book by Terry (from 'The
Colour of Magic' to 'Making Money' +all the specials (even 'Where's my Cow')
+
Tiffany) and the non-Discworld series... That's why I should warn you -
Pratchett makes you think in a way you have never thought before - people don't
understand me anymore... Too many references...
You should definitely read the books with Tiffany - the NacMacFeegles are way
too awesome to miss and if you like Granny Weatherwax she will be one of
tiffany's teachers - a must-read!

Personally I'm the biggest fan of Moist/Spike They
grew on me very quickly, if it wasn't for Terry's condition I would be very
impatient to get a new book, but in these circumstances I will be happy with
anything from him. Re-reading is enough for me, I just love to dive into that
world...

Ahh... the classic 'Good Omens'... Loved the delicate (or not that much lol)
humour of TP combined with the surreal perspective of Gaiman. I think I read it
somewhere in the middle of the Discworld series and discovered a whole new Terry
I hadn't known before...
Yeah, if I had to pick out one type of charas that don't activate my 'ecstatic
fan' mode it would be the witches... although 'Carpe Jugulum' has really high
scores in my personal record book and so does 'The Wintersmith'.

Lol. Admit it! You purposely made the reference Terry to check. Well, now you
know
Quote by MuZ0NaZAbout time you finished
it darnit, what's it been? 1.5 years? Oh wait..whole
three...
lol nice to hear from you. Yeah I know, well character lineart was done 1.5
years ago. And considering I did draw this over 50 times, including a few shaded
ones, I didn't slack off that much xD. Anyway thanks for stopping by, see you
later (and not in 3 years).

You're back again. Now with even more awesomeness - I've never seen you do
colour work before, and this is amazing.. Just make it more often than every 6
months...
Haha but I'm improving, it's not 3 years anymore lol. Oh and what about you,
waiting like 40 weeks between two walls >xD . Anyway glad you liked it,
thanks !
And happy holydays!

weeks short of a year :P
You know better than me how life can happen, work+studies = little free time and
no patience left for walling/etc. Now proceed with the drawings
>:3
Yeah life :S Same as with girls, when you think you got it right it starts
getting funky xD Ahem... anyways, let us proceed

oblivion? D: Paint (over (a vector)) all you want, but don't abuse the soft
brush or don't blend too much sometimes.
whut there is nothing vectored except motoko's outlines
>_>
you fail.

If there would happen to be any late entries, they will not be elligible for the
people's vote, but I will judge them without deducting any points. This offer is
possible until the voting week ends, this Friday. I know at least two people who
didn't make it, and the goal here isn't to wall under stressing circumstances to
meet a deadline.
Quote by MuZ0NaZstarrliteangel speaks the
truth. White highlights here are bad, plus the outlines are jagged (and
oversaturated). Don't be afraid to experiment with colours and more extreme
shadows - it would surely help to blend it in if done
properly.
Hi thanx for the comment on Twilight of Hope. I'll try
to add more extreme shadow, and will fix the highlight whatsoever.
merged: 02-21-2007 ~ 11:46am
Quote by MuZ0NaZMuch, MUCH better than
before. You can try experimenting a bit more by trying to get Lacus colours to
reflect the environment - make the highlights/shadows/etc. all kinda yellowish.
Try going over with a light yellow brush over Lacus on a multiply layer, with
varying opacity (more for the shadows, less for other
areas).
XD I can't believe that you actually check my wall back. Anyway, I'm too lazy to
have another update for the wall. But I'll try to experiment your
suggestion..someday...maybe before the deadline.
-lmao- I'm not bored with it, just lazyyyy to do it. I'm workin on a vector
for another contest lol.
merged: 02-24-2007 ~ 09:10pm
Hey, can you tell me more about adding the yellowish on shadow? Do I have to
paint all over the shadows, or on a certain part only?
Like on the hair only, or what ever..
Quote by MuZ0NaZI know... to be honest, I
was !@#$!2 fed up with recg-ing and just wanted to work on the bg instead of
fixing the scan. I didn't think that it was worth spending an hour or more just
to remove the freaking leaves, since they're partly hidden by the taskbar
here.
